Christmas is Good for Business

No matter what kind of business you’re in Christmas should be a good time for you.  For some it’s the busiest time, the time when all the profit is made. For others – like us – it’s very quite.

So why is quiet good for business?

Well it’s a time to take stock, review all the processes, catch up on all the little jobs that never get done and get ready for the New Year.

I do our annual review around now to see what’s working and what’s not – whether we are we using our time effectively?  That sort of thing.

Christmas is Fun Time

Last Friday we went out for our staff Christmas celebration. It was lovely to spend time with people that I see a lot of, but don’t get a chance to chat with about life outside of work.  It was great to find we can all have a good laugh together – making it a great bonding exercise.

Christmas is Family Time

Christmas is also family time.  Last week we put up the Christmas tree in our house.  The decorations survived the children but I’m not sure if they will survive the cats. As you can see from the picture below our family cats (we have three) love to climb the tree and chase the baubles around the living room.

I’ll be spending Christmas day with my husband, children, parents, brother, his wife and their three boys.  As with any Metcalfe gathering it will be loud, crazy and lots of fun.

And finally, if you find yourself worrying over Christmas here are some great tips to take away the strain .

So, here’s wishing you a peaceful Christmas wherever you may be.
