"Helping you gain
.control of your career"

Small Businesses Need Flexible, Versatile and Multi-skilled Staff

Working in, or running, a small business means you have to be very versatile. You have to be willing to roll up your sleeves, tackle any job that comes your way and learn new work place skills as required.

This was wonderfully demonstrated when we went to see a small family run circus whilst on our holiday in France.

There were seven people in this circus and they did everything from putting up the circus tent to looking after and training animals, from being ticket seller to performing dangerous feats in the ring.

Mucking in is Fun and Rewarding

They were a pleasant, affable lot, willing to change from a juggler into a clown into a sweet seller into an animal trainer into a trapeze artist and back again to juggler whilst changing costumes and keeping each other safe. All this for our entertainment and so they could earn a living.

There was certainly no jobsworths amongst this lot. They all relied on each other and the trust and friendship was very apparent.

We had a lovely evening – the performance was great and the clowns very funny.

What You Can Offer

Most employers won’t expect quite the same skills as you need in the circus but being flexible, willing and self motivated will go a long way to helping you get ahead in your career, or even, in these times of uncertainty, keeping your job.
