Useful Websites

This week I’m going to give you a few websites that can help you improve your vocabulary while having fun. The first is wordsquared, which is a wonderful word game that is much like scrabble, only it’s played on a huge board with hundreds of other players. It’s a great way to practice spelling and vocabulary and learn new words.

This next site, Word Games, has a whole host of games you can play, including Spell-it-Right, Daily Word Search and section with crosswords. Games.com has some great word based games with super cute graphics. Yahoo also have some great games to try, like this fabulous twist on an old favourite of mine Mah Jong, called Jumble Jong. As well as having to clear all the tiles, you need to make up the highest scoring words possible.

If you don’t fancy any of these, there are loads of others available – all you need to do is type ‘word games’ into one of the search engines and take your pick. Enjoy!
