If you’ve never studied at home, you may not realise that it can be quite difficult sometimes, especially if you have a busy home life. So, how can you make your study time at home more effective?
Follow these six top tips and, hopefully, you’ll soon be settling down to some great study time:
Tip One – Turn off your phone.
Tip Two – Log out of Facebook or whatever social network you use and your email account too.
Tip Three – Make sure your family know when your study time begins and ends and then make sure they know not to interrupt you during that time, unless it’s an emergency of course.
Tip Four – Be comfortable! If your neck or back start to ache you’re soon going to become distracted, so try to sit in the correct position at a desk if you can.
Tip Five – Get the light right. Ideally you should work using natural light. However, if you don’t have this, you should try to get a daylight simulation bulb. If you can’t get hold of these or they are too expensive, try to schedule your study for the daytime.
Tip Six – Get the temperature right. This is just as important as the light. You should not be too hot or too cold as both will distract you from your study.
