As you may be aware we moved recently. Here are our current contact details. When we were choosing where to move to one of the things we had to think about carefully was our location, as having the right location for a business can make or break it. So, here are three things we considered when looking for new premises:
Our customers
Our staff
Our suppliers
Location and Business Training Customers
Business Training doesn’t need to be easily accessible to our students as very few students visit us – though students are welcome to drop in if they wish. But generally we are dealing with people by phone, email or post. So, even though we have a central Manchester location, as far as our customers are concerned, we could be anywhere and it wouldn’t affect the amount of business we do.
Location and Business Training Staff
When we moved, our staff were one of the biggest considerations. We’ve always been based in a central Manchester location and so have recruited from the surrounding area and attracted people who want to work in a city environment.
If we wanted to move out of the city centre this would adversely affect most of our staff’s travelling arrangements and we’d probably lose most of them – which would have a negative effect on the business. So, it made sense to stay as close to the city centre as possible – which we have managed to do.
Location and Business Training Suppliers
We have quite a lot of supplies which are heavy and require large vehicles to deliver them to us. So we needed to have a location that was easily accessible by lorries and didn’t require goods to be taken to an upper floor.
Of course this is just a small selection of things we had to think about for our type of business. So, here are some websites to visit for more in depth information and which cover a variety of businesses:
