Every time I have to fill up my car with petrol, it seems to cost more. In the UK 62.5% of the price of petrol is tax – all going to swell the government’s coffers! But it doesn’t just hit us when we pay at the pump, it means that everything we buy costs more because of increased distribution costs. Prices rise whenever the cost of oil goes up, but they never seem to go down when it falls. Just another burden that hard pressed businesses could do without at the moment.

But we’ve got to think positive so until next time...
