In this issue we look at: how to take the fear out of talking to an audience; finding out if you’ve got an eye for detail and preparing small adverts that really sell.
And before I leave you this month here are three tips on energising your staff: (1) let them know you’re human – show you’ve got a sense of humour and a home-life! (2) Spend time with them – make an effort to talk to them individually and as a group. But at the same time, make sure you listen to their concerns. (3) Let go occasionally – give them responsibility so that they feel ‘ownership’ of what they’re doing. You still need to keep an eye on things, but let them feel they’re in control. And if you want more tips on how to effectively manage all aspects of your workforce you could always enrol on our Employing and Motivating Staff course.
