Business Bites

Return to Business Bites back issues

In this issue we look at best practice in interview techniques; how to put a stop to those night-time worries and writing press releases that get your business the promotional hit it needs.

We did a survey recently and some of you mentioned that you’d like clearer details of how to send your fees if you don’t wish to pay by debit or credit card. So, if this is something that concerns you, go to Susan Metcalfe’s blog and find out the best way to make payment if you’d like to enrol on one of our courses.

Recently Susan has been looking at staff recruitment from both the point of view of the applicant and the interviewer. So this month we’ve got an article considering those important dos and don’ts of interviewing. Incidentally, this information is taken from our mini-course Recruiting Staff and Integrating them into the Workforce; so it gives you a flavour of the quality of the course. It’s currently being offered at the special price of £60, is quick to assimilate (only two modules and one assignment) and leads to a Continuing Professional Development Certificate.

Next, are you a worrier? Most of us worry more than we’d like to admit. So we’ve got a piece looking at how to put things into perspective and stop your stress levels from rocketing.

Finally, we’ve the first of a two-part article on promoting your business by writing press releases – the second half will follow next month. It’s part of our Complete Copywriter Course which teaches the kind of skills that no small business should be without or can even form the basis of a lucrative freelance career.

This is the last issue before the end of the year so I’d just like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and profitable New Year.
