Stay Well!

First, I hope everyone reading this is keeping well and has not gone down with Coronavirus.

If you live in a country that has not yet imposed restrictions on movement you will probably be going about daily life much as usual: going to work, meeting friends and family, having a drink and something to eat with them. If, however, like much of the world you are in ‘lockdown’ then life will seem very different!

I’m writing this post at home, where I’m working rather than going into the office and mixing with other people. I know I’m lucky that I can work remotely, because it means I don’t have to risk public transport or coming into contact with people (except direct family) who might have the virus

.

Some of you may also have this option, some won’t and may be worried about whether your jobs will still be there for you when this crisis is over.  I know it must be a very stressful time for you with bills to pay and food to buy. I do feel, though, that when this is all over, many businesses will have discovered that their workers can operate efficiently from home (at least for a substantial part of each week) and that face-to-face meetings are not as necessary as they may have seemed. I think there will be a huge re-evaluation of how we work – and what we prioritise.

It could even be good for the planet if it means we produce fewer greenhouse gases when we commute less!

But we’ve got to get through the current crisis before we even start to consider that. When it’s over, every country’s economy will need a kick-start and there will be opportunities out there.

If you’re not already furthering your education, now might be a good time to start. Do we have a course that might boost your CV? If we do, then why not enrol? Or if you did join us and haven’t studied for a while, then whey not email us to find out if you can continue with your course?

But the main thing at the moment is that you look after yourself and your loved ones, and keep safe and healthy until life returns to normal.
